ABOUT Food In focus nutrition

Picture
At Food In Focus Nutrition we are bringing real food back into focus, centred on our tables. In a fast- paced world with a lack of time, an abundance of fast foods and processed ready-made meals, it is hard to choose what is best for us and nurture our bodies with nutritious foods. Food is important in regards to mental health, antenatal and postnatal, and a person’s needs changes throughout the lifespan.

We are here to make healthy normal again. We offer nutrition advice for individuals, cooking classes workshops (both for groups and individuals), shopping advice and workshops as well as group seminars and community programs.

The aim is to help individuals and groups in the community with nutritional goals, to gain knowledge and be able to make the right decisions regarding food.
The reward will be, becoming healthier, happier, and more energised in a sustainable way that will last a lifetime!

About Emmy

Picture
Emmy has qualifications in nutrition with main interest in diabetes prevention, how to use food as medicine, the gut brain axis- how what we eat affect both our physical and mental health.

Food In Focus Nutrition is using scientific evidence-based practice in its education and am always trying to stay up to date with latest research and evidence.

Before studying nutrition, Emmy worked as a professional chef, mainly in her home country of Sweden. With more than 30 years’ experience, her passion and understanding for food and flavour is passed on to her clients, both when seeing individuals and groups. Emmy moved to Australia and the Nambucca Valley in NSW, permanently in 2007.

In all different cultures around the world food is shared and centred in people’s lives. Emmy has a strong belief that food brings people together and helps make people bond. It is not only about nutrition, but also about the social aspect as well, why we eat and how we consume our food.
